This is without a doubt one of the finest motorcycles that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It's a 1999 Kawasaki ZRX 1100, otherwise known as the Eddie Lawson Replica 2 or just Z-REX . It does everything very well, and it doesn't torture your shoulders like my old GSX-R 1100 did. Check out the ZRX Owners Association at www.ZRXOA.org .
I haven't really had the inclination or the money (I seem to spend it all on speeding tickets) to modify it much, although I did invest in a few Pit Bull stands that were worth every penny, seeing as how Kawasaki neglected to include a center stand.
Some purple Tapeworks Rimstripes really added some color, although you can't see them very well in this photo, and I got a Kerker slip-on, which can be heard a mile away.
I also installed a set of Competition Werkes GP footpegs, and they're about a quarter of an inch lower, which makes it really nice for us taller guys. My Corbin Gunfighter saddle took FOREVER to get here, but man is it ever easy on the butt. A fellow named Ted Dake whom I met on the ZRX 1100 forum made me an ignition advancer and a super clean exhaust hanger bracket. I went up to a 47 tooth rear sprocket that I got from Sprocket Specialists and it feels great. I got a purple Powerbronze windscreen on from Streetfighters USA, and the holes line up better than the inferior crap that Lockhart Phillips sells. Hmmm... let's see here, a set of Galfer brake pads fore and aft, and some Goodridge SS brake lines up front really helped, and I also installed a Green Light Trigger, but the jury is still out on that one.
How do I love my Pit-Bull stands? Let me count the ways...
